Mario Tarantino and his family have led to Rome good
cuisine of their restaurant La
Savardina in Capri.
Our cuisine is inspired and in continous evolution with dishes from
the tradition of the Naples area as well as typical roman dishes and
creative Mediterranean cuisine.
Restaurant “Ambasciata di Capri” serves delicious specialties
from the island of Capri, including black ravioli with cuttlefish and
the pezzogna, a tender fish that only swims in the waters of the Gulf
of Naples.
Another specialties are fresh home-made pasta with zucchini, smoked
cheese, parmesan and basil, Ravioli with special Capri’s cheese
and tomatoes-sauce, fresh fish of the day with fresh cherry tomato sauce
or with capers and olives, Mix daily grilled fish, Fillet cutted with
small fresh tomatoes and rucola.
But cakes make the fame of this restaurant, and rumor has it that owner
Mario Tarantino sends a selection of them to the Pope once a month.
Try the ricotta tart with pears, the tiramisu and the wonderful pastiera,
a shortcrust cake with ricotta and buffalo-milk cheese.
